Here is the play Iowa fans are concerned about, after which Cade McNamara took himself out. Apologies, this is the best look we have right now.

So happy seeing the response, because every kind word you've heard about John Campbell is true. He's both a teacher and a friend. From covering the biggest events, to storytelling on the smallest fishing boats, no one outdoes him. John, have a blast in "real" retirement!

In a sea of media day platitudes, Iowa's Ben McCollum shared something I'd never heard before this morning. While he'll always recruit low-ego, unselfish players, he challenged his team to play with a quasi-selfish edge this year, holding each other accountable.

One of the most rocking moments I've ever experienced at Kinnick Stadium. The fans go wild as a patient from the UI Stead Family Children's Hospital, as the ceremonial first golden batter, hits a home run.

On Thursday, Iowa fans will hear Kevin Harlan on Thursday's game between the Hawkeyes and Cornhuskers. Before his decades of success on a national stage, Harlan was just a high schooler in Wisconsin. That's where he caught up with TV9 sports director emeritus John Campbell.

D.J. Carstensen calls it a career after 37 years as a college referee. The City High alum still considers himself an Iowan. I walked down memory lane with him, including a funny story about Fran McCaffery. "We're more on the same team than we're on opposite teams."

Jesse Cole has a way with words. I wondered how he can keep his energy so high when he's constantly signing autographs, yelling into a microphone, and running around fields across the country. His answer was instant: "You remember where you started."
