A dark moment for Britain. Hamas terrorists – who just declared victory following Starmer’s cowardly recognition of a Palestinian state – have held 48 hostages, including Avinatan Or, underground for 715 days. In January, the Prime Minister pledged to do everything in his power to release Avinatan & all the hostages. To concede to terrorism (and political sectarianism) is a reprehensible way to behave.

I raised my concerns today regarding free speech on our university campuses. 🏛️ Whether it's Zionist views, gender-critical perspectives or climate scepticism, there is a demonstrable two-tier approach to free speech playing out across our higher education institutions and it is students who are bearing the brunt of it. The Higher Education Freedom of Speech Act was passed precisely to give students the right to bring complaints to the Office for Students. I posed this to the Minister today and I do not believe his response was correct. It is, after all, called the Office for Students, not the Office for Everyone on Campus Except Students. The Free Speech Union
