Lefty Gunplay tells Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda that he’s grateful Kendrick Lamar gave him the opportunity to be part of "TV Off," which earned him a #GRAMMY. ▫️ Lefty says Kendrick hugged him immediately upon their first meeting and was already familiar with his music. ▫️ During the studio session with Kendrick and DJ Mustard, Kendrick encouraged him to freestyle after his manager pushed him to write a full verse. ▫️ That’s how the iconic "crazy, scary, spooky, hilarious" line came to life. Lefty says he feels blessed to have been chosen by Kendrick and is determined not to waste the opportunity. He also expressed gratitude to the Black community for giving him a platform in hip-hop, a culture he recognizes as belonging to Black people.

AZ Chike clears up the rumor that Kendrick Lamar took a verse off his debut album during the opening night of his No Rest for the Wicked Tour in Houston. ▫️ Chike says Kendrick never had a verse on the album. ▫️ He intentionally made sure not to imply that Kendrick was featured after realizing the photo of them in the studio would "go crazy." ▫️ Chike says Kendrick sticking with him throughout the process means more to him than getting a verse, especially since he was "getting on Kendrick’s and Sounwave’s nerves" during the album’s creation. 🤣
