A video of ashes of Subedar Joginder Singh, PVC 1 SIKH being handed over to his family. Subedar Joginder Singh, PVC, known for his exceptional bravery during the 1962 War. Born on September 26, 1921, in the Moga district of Punjab, Singh joined the Sikh Regiment. On 23 October during the battle at Bum La in NEFA, where he displayed extraordinary heroism while defending his post against overwhelming Chinese forces. Despite being heavily outnumbered, he fought valiantly, inspiring his comrades. He was ultimately injured but continued to lead his men until he was critically wounded. He was taken as a POW and later died in captivity. His ashes were handed over to India in 1963. For his exceptional bravery and leadership, Joginder Singh was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra (PVC), India's highest military honor.
