An acoustic version of Two Fingers, filmed at Griffith Park in LA back in 2013.

Lightning Bolt came about when I was with my mate Ian, waiting for my taxi after a long day in the studio. I had a cup of tea, played a few chords, and sang a country melody. It all came together in just five minutes. It’s always a great one to play live.

I swear to God I’ve seen it all, nothing shocks me anymore after tonight.

Two Fingers is a really personal song for me, I wrote it about growing up and some of the experiences I had.

Stuck in speed bump city, where the only thing that's pretty is the thought of getting out.

We went to this O’Loclainn’s bar in Ballyvaughan, this amazing pub in the West of Ireland, on a day off between shows and invited the locals to join us for a few drinks to play them this song early. We filmed a live version there as well as the music video, a great atmosphere.

Messed Up Kids is about growing up and how people are always worried about paying bills and getting by. It’s a reminder that everyone has dreams and talents, even if they never find them.

I ended up playing this one in Berlin as a few fans requested it. Still one of my favourites to play live.
