Ahead of the MLB expansion announcement in West Sacramento tomorrow... Back in April 2024, Kings owner Vivek Ranadivé said there was “no guarantee” Sacramento would land an expansion franchise simply by hosting the A’s at Sutter Health Park for three seasons. “You know, we have to show what we can do.” Ranadivé also laid out his long-term vision for the region: “In the long term, I’d like this to be a place with a permanent MLB team and other teams.”

A cool story about Fernando Mendoza & Tim Plough's relationship at #Cal #Mendoza - who was low on the Bears depth chart at the time - wanted to get in extra work to earn more playing time. Fernando met with Plough (Cal's TE coach at the time) to go over film and improve. There meetings would go well into the night, as the two went over film as Mendoza knew that was the only way to get better. Fast forward, Menodza is now a #NationalChampionship winner as the starting quarterback on #Indiana Moral of the story: It’s not where you start — it’s how you finish. 🏆
