The British Museum in London has postponed its scheduled presentation on the history of Ancient Israel, and Judea, due to major security concerns. Lady Chief Justice Baroness Carr ruled today that “Palestine Action promotes unlawful violence amounting to terrorism.” She went on to say that “It is not as it claims, a direct action for civil disobedience protest group like the suffragettes.” The judges also agreed it was “an organisation engaged in causing serious damage to property, using weapons, including sledgehammers.” This comes after three judges ruled in February that the then home secretary Yvette Cooper’s decision to proscribe Palestine Action under the Terrorism Act 2000 last year was unlawful.

The incident was reported to police and the driver was arrested, but amazingly, the Crown Prosecution Service Crime Prosecution Service, decided NOT to pursue the case. The NGO campaign against Campaign Against Antisemitism then provided David with the necessary legal backing to seek justice. All of a sudden, the CPS changed their minds and decided to prosecute. Lindo was charged with racially aggravated intentional harassment, for locking Jewish passenger, David Abraham aboard a bus for around an hour and making antisemitic remarks. Lindo is due at Thames Magistrates' Court on 16th November. Credit to Campaign Against Antisemitism for standing with victims of antisemitic abuse.
