Incredible video shot by Jason Stewart. It is so easy to see the tornado damage path on the east side of Lake Hamilton. This is where the tornado came off of the lake. Check out the convergent and widespread tree blowdown. There is hardly a tree left standing towards the middle of the tornado path. Thankfully the walls are left standing on most of the homes here on the eastern shore of the Lake off of Peninsula Dr. #ARWX

We've got a lot of videos from Baptist and downtown, but this is an unbelievable video from Rachel Turner on the 11th floor of the Plaza West building in Midtown. The tornado would have been going through Breckenridge at this time. You can see power flashes from the base of the tornado. #arwx

This weekend is the 25 year anniversary of the largest tornado outbreak in Arkansas history and we'll look back at it Sunday at 10pm on KATV News. 56 tornadoes were spawned January 21st-22nd, 1999. 18 of those were F2 or stronger. I'll be posting a few clips of the event out of the KATV archives that you may never have seen. First up - Robbie Horton captured this video south of Wheatley in St. Francis county. This tornado was one of the strongest of the day rated and F3. It tracked from Clarendon into St. Francis county and was on the ground for 36 miles. These types of videos were rare to get in the 90s out of Arkansas. This video clearly shows the strong and mulit-vortex nature of this tornado. Weather History #arwx
