Yesterday’s march wasn’t about the Irish. Here’s one of the main organisers Malachy Steenson saying he doesn’t just want illegal immigrants gone - he wants no more legal immigrants, workers or students either! Good man Malachy, see how far you get with our factories, hospitals, etc if we don’t even let workers in! Absolute clown!

Chanting for colonizers while wearing the mask of nationalism. Watching so-called ‘nationalists’ chant for Israel is nauseating. How quickly some forget that we were once the ones bombed, starved, and silenced by an empire. You don’t get to wave the tricolour and cheer on apartheid — you’re either for liberation everywhere, or you’re a fraud. We come from a land where hunger was used as a weapon, where language was beaten out of mouths, where freedom was paid for in blood. To chant for Israel is to spit on every rebel who ever dreamed of a free Ireland. Shame on you.

Last night Fine Gael minister Peter Burke had Michael O’Leary (yes that one) launch his election campaign in Mullingar. The sheer hypocrisy to have him on stage whinging about government wasting money at a government TD’s event. 😂😂😂 Fine Gael don’t care about the working class. That’s evident. And Mr. O’Leary (who’s worth about a billion euro, fair play to him) certainly doesn’t either. Insults to teachers, left-wing parties, you name it he said it. And then to top it all off, he made it abundantly clear that Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil are two cheeks of the same arse by telling people to transfer between FG and FF. This is who Fine Gael are.

Fianna Fáil Cllr Seamus Butler of Longford Town responded to this woman this way after she emailed him about her struggles and asked him to vote no confidence in his own party. While he actually can’t vote anyway, his response speaks volumes about how Fianna Fáil view the ordinary Irish person. They simply don’t care.

It was an honour to speak at the Palestinian solidarity rally in Longford today, standing alongside so many who care deeply about justice, human rights, and freedom. Having my children there with me made it all the more powerful—they’re growing up learning that silence in the face of injustice is not an option.
