Hi. Well, yes. Instead of the empty chant (not necessarily you) about 'why don't the French do more', let's shift the narrative to asking which charity allowed children to get oil burns on dinghies? I'm certainly not going to lecture you, AP, but SOLAS is another red herring. A vessel can only be boarded if they request assistance - that is, declare an emergency . It's not my fault if the illegals change their mind at the 12 mile limit and phone the UK coastguard for help. The missing part of the story is that (I'm sure I've already asked you to look at my little video compilation) the French have had a ruling from their High Court limiting the cops' activity. And Cooper telling us the French are 'looking at' changing the rules is all waffle until after the expected upcoming French elections. STOP PRESS: Starmer has just said "The French are planning changes - subject to their upcoming Maritime Review." It'll NEVER happen. Do they think we're stupid? I've no idea what yesterday's flurry of dinghy slashing - in front of the BBC - was about. Apart from (possibly) Macron's visit today? Who knows?
