BBC: “Is there not a red line that you believe would break the camel’s back [re US support for Israel]?” Me: “If this is not that moment, with 1.5 million people trapped, terrified, on the brink of starvation, with nowhere to go, I’d like to ask my former colleagues what is.”

Can you imagine being a 19-year old doing charity work in your neighborhood when you realize the NYPD has sent an informant to spy on you?? That’s exactly what happened to Asad🗽🍎, who went on to fight the system, sued the NYPD and forced changes that benefit every single New Yorker today. That’s what I call inspiration ✊🏼 🎙️New episode of The View From Here out now wherever you get your podcasts!

"Israel acts upon its own assessment of security rather than an assessment based on its partners." I asked Dubai Public Policy Research Centre's Director General Mohammed Baharoon to assess whether the Abraham Accords was a good investment. This is what he had to say:

“There is a consolidation of Ghalibaf and his camp, but not necessarily *the person* of Ghalibaf—there are still factional rivalries inside.” What a thrill to have Hamidreza Azizi on my podcast this week; one of the most thoughtful and nuanced Iran analysts out there. We spoke about who is really in charge in Iran, and what the Islamic Republic really wants in the negotiations with the U.S. Thank you so much Hamidreza for taking the time to talk to me, especially knowing how busy you are these days! "After the conclusion of the war, the bigger challenge for the system, to a great extent for the country as a whole, is economic reconstruction." Hamidreza Azizi explains one of the main driving forces behind Iran's war posture and negotiation strategy in the latest episode of The View From Here, including why whatever Trump offers will have to go beyond what Obama offered in the JCPOA. Many thanks to CNBC International CNBC Squawk Box Europe for having me on this morning to share “Day 9” thoughts on the Middle East. Three things I’m looking at: 1-Opportunities for off-ramps more difficult given U.S. and Iran ratcheting up their rhetoric—but not impossible 1/

"We are perceived as someone that actually pushed Trump to this war, a war that actually, it's a strategic failure. This is a risky move for Israel." With another round of talks on the horizon and Netanyahu bragging about getting daily readouts from JD Vance, Danny (Dennis) Citrinowicz ,داني سيترينوفيتش talked about whether Netanyahu, in achieving his lifelong dream of a joint US-Israel war on Iran, has actually sacrificed something much more important to Israel: Its relationship with Americans. Please listen to my conversation with the wonderful, articulate, empathetic Ahmed Alnaouq on what it really means to live under an occupation and why it’s so important to just support Palestinians however you can, not tell them what to do. Please go watch this entire conversation.

The first IPC warning about famine in Gaza was issued in December 2023. Further warnings followed throughout 2024. As did human rights violations and war crimes. The ICJ case and ICC warrants. All under Biden. Former USAID Advisor Alex Smith told me the administration's response was to shut down dissent and ignore or hide the truth to avoid accountabulity. Alex's own presentation on child mortality was scrapped at USAID because the example the White House and State led with was to not talk about Israeli human rights violations. He was then told to quit or be fired. Every senior member of the Biden administration should be asked about these decisions every time they do an interview, including claims made by Blinken to Congress regarding Israel's compliance with international law, and Sullivan and Miller blaming Hamas all the way to the end for the lack of a ceasefire when we know that Netanyahi and his coalition shouldered more of the blame. Links in thread to my full conversation with Alexander Smith.

As I said to Owen Jones: Racism and dehumanization towards Palestinians is so rife that people can dismiss journalists in Gaza as not credible. That’s why Israel won’t allow international journalists in. It doesn’t want anyone you trust to show you the shocking truth.

Everything we are seeing today in Gaza and Sudan, and at home in the campaign against Zohran Kwame Mamdani, is a continuation of what has happened before, and no one was held accountable. Bush. Obama. Biden. Trump. Different names, same policies. Hear me out:
