Rest in Peace Tim Curry. Many do not know that Tim cut the original version of "Sloe Gin" on his debut album "Read my Lips" in 1978. The song was composed by Bob Ezrin and Michael Kamen. 20 years ago Kevin Shirley Kevin Shirley called me and said he found the perfect desperate blues song for me. He was right and our version changed my career trajectory forever. Tim's version was bold, beautiful and featured the mastery of Dick Wagner on guitar.

Sometimes I have to remember that I am still a guitar player. ( at least for awhile) Haven't picked one up in a couple of weeks. Taking a 1952 Fender Telecaster for a spin through a very low volume ODS. Trying not to get the ye ole broom stick on the ceiling warning from the neighbors. 😎👍

One of the greatest sounding acoustic guitars I have ever played. 1939 00-42 Martin Guitar purchased from Uncle Norm a few years ago. Normans Rare Guitars .. Apologies for the slight tuning discrepancy but I'm on vacation and do not care. 😎👍

Waitin on the Rain Blues". Some fun with a 1961 Les Paul Custom fretless wonder with the original flat wound strings. 64 year old strings barely keep tune for barely a minute, luckily we live in the social media age and this clip is 51 seconds. 😎👍🤷♂️
