Good morning. Last night, PXU Board President and parliamentarian shut me down for reading the Lord's prayer. The ruling by the parliamentarian, "We cannot have a religious prayer before the land acknowledgement" I was ruled out of order yet simultaneously told the board doesn't follow Roberts rules of order, it's merely a suggestion. Our Phoenix Union Board policies state otherwise. Additionally, I made multiple attempts for roll call on action items and a motion to adjourn, all were swiftly ignored by Board President Napa simply with "No". Again, our board policies prescribe the President must do otherwise. I will be seeking any and all possible remedies to ensure the Phoenix Union Governing board follows proper governance of meetings.
