I want to say how much I value my partnership with Apple. They’ve been incredible collaborators and I deeply respect their team. That said, I wanted to reach out and let you know that we’re not aligned on the decision to pause the release of The Savant. In the last five years since we’ve been making the show, we’ve seen an unfortunate amount of violence in the United States: the kidnapping attempt on Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer; the January 6th attack on the Capitol; the assassination attempts on President Trump; the political assassinations of Democratic representatives in Minnesota; the attack on Speaker Pelosi’s husband; the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk; the recent shooting at an ABC affiliate station in California; and over 300 school shootings across this country. These incidents, though far from encompassing the full range of violence witnessed in the United States, illustrate a broader mindset that crosses the political spectrum and must be confronted. I’ve never shied away from difficult subjects, and while I wish this show wasn’t so relevant, unfortunately it is. The Savant is about the heroes who work every day to stop violence before it happens, and honoring their courage feels more urgent than ever. While I respect Apple’s decision to pause the release for now, I remain hopeful the show will reach audiences soon. Until then, I’m wishing safety and strength for everyone, and I’ll let you know if and when The Savant is released.

I’m one of the lucky ones. I’m aware that my career provides me with a good living, gives me health insurance, helps me take care of my family. There are many members of SAG/AFTRA who are fighting to make a living wage. 87% of my union doesn’t make the 26k a year in order to receive health insurance. It is our responsibility to stand alongside them. We are united and we demand fair contracts. #sagaftrastrong

Giving you a SAG-AFTRA Interim Agreement play by play. Journeymen actors, crew members etc, are urged to work in and support SAGAFTRA’s approved projects. As the AMPTP refuses to negotiate, they should be the only ones in our industry out of work. The sucess of Interim Agreements should inspire them to do the right thing. Hope the AMPTP gets back to the negotiating table soon, but until then, it’s the Minor League’s time to shine. #sagaftrastrong #solidarity

It is unacceptable to have hundreds of thousands of people out of work. This goes beyond SAG-AFTRA. There are crew members, caterers, laundry services, prop & costume houses, hair & makeup, teamsters, etc…. all struggling to keep a roof over their heads. My heart goes out to all members of IATSE // #IASolidarity Teamsters Directors Guild CDG Local 892 Writers Guild of America East Writers Guild of America West who have suffered greatly during this work stoppage. I implore the AMPTP to do the right thing and get back to the negotiating table. Nothing can be accomplished by walking away.

This is not a political issue. This is not part of the Israeli advocacy and doesn’t try to justify any war acts. It’s a human and humanitarian issue. Innocent civilians should not be part of a war. There are around 200 hostages, among them are women, children, Holocaust survivors, and elderly people. #BringThemHomeNow

So proud of SAG-AFTRA, our incredible leadership, Fran Drescher, Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, and the thousands of members who stood in solidarity. Thank you to our sister unions who showed up in solidarity. Let’s get back to work! 🤍 Hats off to our negotiating committee... We have achieved a deal of extraordinary scope that includes “above-pattern” minimum compensation increases, unprecedented provisions for consent and compensation that will protect members from the threat of AI, and for the first time establishes a streaming participation bonus. 🎉

If a majority of independent producers, come forward and sign the Interim Agreement deal it will show the AMPTP how wrong they are when they say our contract terms are unrealistic or unreasonable. These agreements also provide employment opportunities for our crew members who are really struggling during the strike. By doing this, we advance our strike agenda as we keep the pressure on the struck companies in a way that nothing else will. #sagaftrastrong #solidarity
