He fired the people who were investigating him and his companies through DOGE and now it’s reported by the WSJ that he gave the order to degrade the speed on Ukraine’s Starlink. That deserves investigation and Democrats should absolutely promise that and deliver.

Take the sick and disgusting Vivek Ramaswamy ad targeting Amy Acton using her estranged mother. Or Ken Paxton weaving crazy lies about Talarico policy because his lines of attack aren’t working. They’re desperate.

Watching Republicans pull money from competitive races in order to protect what should be easy wins and seeing Trump be forced to go to deep-red territory. Watching the president and vice president defend Vivek’s disgusting ad. A Paxton mega-donor cutting a video to support Talarico because he’s actually the candidate that has Texas values. That’s the stuff that tells you something about the midterms.

I know the ‘far left’ takeover of the Democratic party is popular to harp on, but look at these high performing candidates running pitch perfect campaigns. Democrats are surging across the country because folks like Jon Ossoff, Roy Cooper, Rob Sand (and many others) are talking about the things American voters are concerned about: higher costs, your healthcare and a corrupt government that works for itself.

Republicans can mock the No Kings protests all the want, but the reality is it just grew from 6 million to 8 million people in a few months. 3,300 rallies in all 50 states, many in suburbs and small towns. Meanwhile, Republicans in Congress see the writing on the wall. A record 36 are retiring early. Donald Trump is sitting around 40% approval at best, closer to the low 30s by some measures. When a president is under 50%, their party historically loses an average of 34 seats in Congress. Democrats only need a handful of seats. The energy is real and it is growing.

Republicans are lying to the American people when they say the SAVE Act is a voter ID law—it’s a proof-of-citizenship requirement that would make voting harder, if not impossible, for a lot of people. Passports are expensive, documents don’t always match, and the process can be a mess (been there). We should be making voting easier, not adding more hurdles. Democrats can own this by proposing their own bill that accepts a range of IDs, and includes automatic voter registration and Election Day as a national holiday for starters.
