THEY PAVED PARADISE AND PUT UP A SKYWAY I condemn the DENR for allowing the tree-cutting and earth-balling of HUNDREDS OF TREES along Quirino Avenue in Manila City. All of these trees cut. Just to pave the way for the construction of the “Southern Access Link Expressway” (SALEX) by San Miguel Corporation. The SALEX spans a measly 4 kilometers but four elevated lanes. A total of 617 trees will be affected. 617 trees — all of it for just 4 kilometers of an expressway which will never reduce traffic because all expressways have been proven to actually induce demand for automobiles according to empirical research and scientific studies. Hundreds of trees have ALREADY been cut but hundreds more will be cut in the next few days. I call on President Bongbong Marcos, the DENR, SMC, and the City of Manila to stop this madness. While Congressman Ungab was raising an appeal for Sara Duterte’s budget not to be cut, Quezon City District 4 (DDS) Congressman Bong Suntay can clearly be seen VAPING casually behind Ungab. Very chill and relaxed, parang walang seryosong pinag-uusapan ang House. Ang alam ko, bawal ang smoking sa House of Representatives under Section 98 of its Rules. Ang vaping ba, hindi din bawal? 🚨 OMG! Lawyer and DDS Ferdinand Topacio justifies Bong Suntay’s sexist imagination against Anne Curtis by going even further — he imagines raping someone and wala daw crime. While legally that is true, you are what you think. So if you imagine raping someone, it reveals a lot about your attitude and mindset towards women.
