Jesy Nelson reveals that her twin daughters have been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1, a severe muscular disease. Sending Jesy so much love 🤍

Jesy reveals she has to give her babies feeding tubes, put one of her daughters on a breathing machine as she isn’t strong enough to breathe on her own, put them on machines to help them cough. She puts tubes down their noses to clear secretions on their chests. What a mother 👏

Perrie Edwards confirms she wrote a song about Jesy Nelson ‘Same Place Different View’. Perrie states she does not know whether to reach out to Jesy to try and make up or whether she should leave her alone incase she doesn’t want to.

Leigh-Anne confirms she, Jade and Perrie reached out to Jesy and they are on good terms with Jesy “it’s devastating what’s happening with her twins…I think she’s really brave for what she’s doing…just supporting each other is what’s important to us”

It has been revealed following Jesy’s campaigning it would only cost 36p per child to add this SMA screening (heel prick test) to the standard newborn screening test in the UK. 36p to save a life and/or better a babies life and prevent disability. Change needs to happen.
