500+ members of the Australian Jewish community have taken out a full-page ad in Nine newspapers urging Australia to reject Trump’s plan for the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from Gaza. UPDATE: Our ad has been pulled. While the Daily Telegraph and Herald Sun talk about freedom of speech all the time, they've decided that they won't be proceeding with our ad tomorrow. We still hope they will run our ad at a later date, because we need to broadcast this message!

Thanks to David Shoebridge for mentioning in the Senate our joint statement with fellow Australian Jewish groups Australian Jewish Democratic Society, Jews for Palestine WA, Jews Against the Occupation ‘48, Emet Australia, Jewish leaders within Sydney Friends of Standing Together, and Jewish Women 4 Peace Action Ready Group. The statement calls on the Australian government to impose sanctions on the state of Israel after it resumed its horrific bombardment of Gaza.
