The Xbox PC app still has a ton of responsiveness issues. On Xbox Ally when it wakes from sleep / closes a game, sometimes takes several minutes to start becoming responsive again. On Xbox PC, sometimes when closing a game, it just decides that it's no longer going to detect inputs anymore. I'm not sure if there's something fundamentally flawed with the codebase or something but you never get these kinda issues on Steam. Steam is the bar Xbox PC needs to hit. I'm someone who does a ton of gaming on Xbox PC but it's impossible to recommend when Steam is literally sitting right there.

First time I've actually found one of Microsoft's AI Windows 11 tools to be genuinely useful. I know it ain't new, but "Click-To-Do" gives you some contextual options based on what you screenshot and then it automatically fires up the relevant app and does it. Needed a transparent version of this image for a review I'm writing, saved me a good chunk of effort.

might sound sacrilegious but I really do think Heroes of the Storm would work great on an Xbox controller. especially if the rumors of next-gen Xbox controllers having two extra face buttons turn out to be true could expand it beyond blizz IP too, doomguy, master chief, vault dweller. still potential here imo. game is still fantastic.

World of Warcraft + Xbox controller works really well, really easy to get used to. - RB+LB for interface shortcuts like bags etc. - 32 keybinds on LT+RT, using ABXY and d-pad. - Radial menu on Menu button. - Targeting enemies and friendlies is intuitive, but unclear how viable it will be in a big-team raid particularly for healers. Only downsides is kiting/strafing seems to be a bit iffy (problem for hunters and casters in PvP maybe, fine for PvE). Also the game doesn't call up the Windows on-screen keyboard for typing yet. But it's still alpha, good first iteration.

Oh man, do not, DO NOT sleep on Blood of the Dawnwalker. The story and decisional consequences are incredibly well structured, the combat feels tight and different, and the world designed is well realized. Fantastic so far, looking forward to diving in more, playing on Xbox.

Gonna call it there for my time in the WoW: Forever beta, but Blizzard nailed this imo. It's nostalgic without relying entirely on it, there's enough new stuff to make it feel fresh for those who felt like they'd already seen enough of vanilla/classic.
