Submarine Saturday - in association with Torpedo Tuesday! 💥 Recently during exercise Ægir 25, submarine KNM Uthaug 🇳🇴fired one of its torpedoes at the decommissioned frigate KNM Trondheim 🇳🇴, with the aim of sinking the vessel. The purpose of the shot was to verify and demonstrate the striking power that the weapon and the submarine represent. A submarine has long endurance, operates covertly, and has a unique ability to dictate the battle. Several Norwegian Armed Forces | Forsvaret 🇳🇴vessels and units, together with the Royal Navy 🇬🇧 and Poland 🇵🇱, participated in the exercise, which took place off the coast of Andøy. 💪 #WeAreNATO #StrongerTogether #DeterAndDefend
