Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth Pete Hegseth should consider recalling the former military members involved in this leftist campaign (#watch video), so they can face a court-martial under The Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). The UCMJ allows for the recall of some retired officers to face a court-martial, primarily based on 10 U.S. Code § 688, which grants a Service Secretary the authority to order retired members to active duty for purposes such as national defense, which can include facing a court-martial for crimes committed while in service or after separation. This authority is supported by Article 2 of the UCMJ, which establishes jurisdiction over certain retired personnel, and is based on the understanding that they are not fully discharged but remain subject to military law under certain conditions, even if their military careers have ended.
