Jimmy used to go to a little salty piece of land in the Bahamas whenever he had time for a little R&R. It was a golf cart only kind of place... great fishing and the clear blue waters the Bahamas are famous for. He decided to send me a video of the peaceful patio with nothing but the sounds of the ocean and A1A on the turntable. The video was 7 minutes long... perfection. The only problem? The audio cable didn't work so it's just the record spinning with no sound 🤣 And it was still awesome - trimmed it to show you the ending because this was JB in one of his happiest of places.

A special moment for everyone at soundcheck on April 11th - a few hours before the show - Zac, the Coral Reefers with Jake and Caroline, played 'Pirates and Parrots' for the first time. Initiated by Tom McGuane — the prodigal son of American Literature in the 1970s — his friends Jim Harrison, Richard Brautigan, Russell Chatham and Jimmy Buffett soon joined him. This crew and that era were captured on film by Guy De La Valdene and Christian Odasso in an obscure documentary called "Tarpon" in 1974. They went on to create some of the best art, poetry, novels, and music of their generation — but there will never be anything like Key West in the early ‘70s. If you were lucky to survive it.
