Steph Curry’s pitch to LeBron James on Good Morning America: “The Bay, we know how to win, beautiful weather, great golf… I know he’s into that. But like you said, the USA experience that we had, the battles that we had over the years, we just know how to play basketball. And I think that he’ll enjoy just the idea of what it means to finish your career the right way. He knows what he wants, and eventually he’ll make that decision. It’s totally up to him, but we’re having fun with it, knowing that he’s got his pick of the entire league, wherever he wants to go, to be honest.”

Steph Curry on the possibility of playing with LeBron James: “I’d say more so I’m interested to just play golf with LeBron. We’ll handle the basketball stuff, but I want to see the golf LeBron free agent. He’s out here really grinding on the game. But I’m sure we obviously would love to play together. I mean, hopefully it happens. But he’s deserved the opportunity and the right to take his time with the decision.”

Steph Curry on how his kids are doing: “They’re doing great. About to start high school for our oldest (Riley), which is crazy. They’re into a lot of different… Oh yeah, that’s the crew right there. We’re blessed. Their every day is so much fun, new experiences for them as they figure out life. Me and Ayesha love being their parents. It’s the greatest honor in the world, so we’re blessed with some characters at home.” (via Good Morning America)

Yaxel said Steph Curry welcomed him and Lajae to the Warriors groupchat: “Steph actually welcomed both of us in the groupchat the night of the drafts, when he (Lajae) got drafted, I got drafted. And I reached out to him yesterday I asked one quick question and then I reached out to Draymond as well but I haven’t gotten a response back yet from Draymond.”

Yaxel Lendeborg on going against his former teammate Aday Mara in the first half: “I said, ‘I hate you man,’ because I’m so tired of him. I’m trying to throw my teammate a lob, and he’s so damn tall he tipped the ball, you know. But it’s still fun being out there with him. He used to kick my behind in practice all the time, so getting that 3 off on him, I was super happy about it. I need to lock in a little bit though, because I’m kind of like goofing off a little too much with him. Next half I’m going to start beating his behind back, so we’re good.”

Yaxel Lendeborg says he had a hard time locking in during the second half against Aday Mara 😅 “I did not, no. I wish I could have, but it was kind of hard to lock in. We were winning pretty convincingly, in a way. He just kept getting me involved with all the gimmicks and the games, but it was still fun being able to play. I think that was my worst game ever. I was like 5 for 20, but you know, we won, so it’s all good.”

Yaxel Lendeborg on his perfect performance in his Summer League debut with the Warriors: “It felt great, everything was going well until that 4th quarter where I got like 4 turnovers in a row so I kind of ruined the perfect game I had in my mind but it felt really good to be out here, have a lot of fun, the team here is super unselfish so it’s really good playing with those guys.”

Steph Curry on what’s next for him: “I’m going into Year 18, which is crazy to think how fast things are going by, but super excited about another season. Hopefully staying healthy out there on the court. The Foundation work that we are doing is a constant through line for me and Ayesha, and I’m just trying to enjoy the summer while we can. Like you said, the kids are growing up fast. And I’ve been playing a little golf.” (via Good Morning America)

Yaxel Lendeborg says he’ll have dinner with former Michigan teammates Morez Johnson Jr. and Aday Mara after the game: “We talked about this so much. We manifested this all year. It’s like a dream of ours, you know, seeing each other play at the highest level. Aday is just getting started with his team, Morez same thing. We all keep talking about it. I think we have our first team dinner today, so I’m very excited to see them and talk about what’s going on in our lives now.”

Jimmy Butler says the Warriors organization is a great organization and he doesn’t want to be anywhere else: “It’s not good, it’s great. It legitimately is the best. You don’t realize it until you’ve been in other places, and I’m not talking down on anybody that are quite lesser than… You’re talking about the way that yall run everything, the people that you have around, obviously the guys that get to rep the uniform. They just do everything the right way, the winning way, and it definitely shows in everything that we do here. I’m grateful to be a part of it now, and when I say I don’t want to be anywhere else, this is it.”

Steph Curry said he asked Kyrie Irving if he was cool with him wearing his shoes since he hasn’t worn them himself on the court: “It’s nothing but mutual respect and admiration for what he’s done in his career. The battles that we’ve had, the deeper you get into it, you appreciate the fact that his talent kind of raised your level throughout the journey. We don’t get to spend that much time together, but there’s that mutual respect. At the All-Star Game, had an amazing conversation. I hit him up before tonight to make sure he was cool with me wearing his shoes, because I know he hasn’t had a chance to debut them himself on the court. He said the admiration goes both ways. I appreciate greatness, and it’s kind of been fun throughout this process to shine a light on competitors, rivals, friends, guys that mean a lot to you.”

Steph Curry on fans already loving Yaxel Lendeborg so far: “Yeah, I watched all the Summer League games. I haven’t been there in person, but he looks very confident, poised, competitive. He’s a champion, and I’m excited to get out there and figure it out with him. Rookies are awesome because they bring such good energy into the locker room, especially guys with talent like him, so that’s what we need.” (via NBC Sports Bay Area & CA with Monte Poole)

Steph on the scars he got during games: “I think when I’m done playing, whenever that is, I’ll take a picture of all the different scabs and scars I got and have a story time — ‘Scars with Steph Storytime.’ I’ll go through each and every one we got a long memory of all of them.”

Draymond on what Jimmy said in the locker room after his season-ending injury: “First thing he said, sitting in that locker room was, ‘Man, I’m supposed to take my kids to the arcade in the morning.’ He said it four different times: ‘I’m not going to be able to take my kids to the arcade in the morning.’ Then we talked a little more. ‘Man, I’m supposed to take my kids to the arcade.’ That’s all he kept saying. He was just in this state of delirium. Completely delirious. I can only imagine what he felt, but he just kept saying, ‘I’m supposed to take my kids to the arcade.’”

Steph Curry on retiring as a Warrior and what the Bay Area and the fans mean to him: “DubNation is strong. It’s been great to see them, not only the history before I got there in ‘09, but to see how we’ve grown in the last 17 years that I’ve been out here. It’s a lot to be proud of, of building an organization to the heights that we have. Myself, Draymond, Klay, KD, Andre, and a whole cast of others, they know who they are. So it’s just a matter of being grateful that I get to represent one fanbase for, hopefully, my entire career.”

Yaxel Lendeborg on the Warriors’ 6 steals in the first half against OKC: “We’ll continue to know what they like to do. They do a lot of off-ball movement, a lot to get into threes. Majority of the players there love shooting more than driving to the basket. So just limiting their strengths, making them play to their weakness, and continue to play team defense.”
