Yesterday, standing outside 10 Downing Street, I felt the weight of two worlds on my shoulders. On one side, the streets of London. Calm, orderly, a place where institutions function and voices are heard. On the other, the ache of Pakistan. A country I carry in my blood. A country whose people, in my view, have felt unheard, unseen and overruled. Looking out at the crowd, I didn’t just see faces. I saw longing. I saw frustration. I saw love for our beloved Imran Khan and for the homeland that refuses to leave our hearts, no matter how many miles lie between us. These weren’t just slogans. These were emotions that have been building for years. For many of us, this isn’t about one man alone. It’s about dignity. It’s about the idea that the will of the people should matter. It’s about believing that accountability, fairness and justice are not luxuries. They are rights. When I spoke, I wasn’t trying to be dramatic. I was speaking from a place of pain and hope at the same time. Pain because so many feel their voice was taken from them. Hope because history shows that resilience always finds a way through. Pakistan has endured more than most nations. And still, its people stand. Still, they speak. Still, they believe. Yesterday wasn’t just a protest. For me, it was a reminder that distance doesn’t weaken love. If anything, it sharpens it. No matter where we stand in the world, the connection remains. And so does the hope that one day, the voices of ordinary people will be fully heard and respected. Note: A sincere thank you to our former PTI London elected body, the London Dream Team, for organizing and conducting the entire event so seamlessly. Heartfelt gratitude as well to everyone who travelled from across the UK to stand together and be part of this gathering. #ImranKhanZindabaad #ReleaseImranKhan
