For so many years I've wanted a Spotify app with a small window, good hotkeys, low resource usage, and that's just quick to navigate around. So I finally decided to build it. I've been using it myself and I'm very pleased with it ✌️ It's still in progress but very promising!

What if AI chat apps were actually fast? I'm making an open source demo app in React Native macOS with instant load from disk (no cache), real native liquid glass UI, only 17 MB app size, and under 100 MB of RAM. Web wrappers are slowing us down. Please let's make apps faster!

I think I found a way to make a React Native list component with significantly better performance than FlashList, with 100% javascript. I'm still testing it but as far as I can tell there’s no pitfalls or issues… It just requires the new architecture for synchronous onLayout.

Seriously though, React Native apps can be faster than native apps 🔥. I'm making a React Native macOS diffing app that git diffs a folder, and renders and syntax highlights it, in 200ms. And look at that scrolling perf 😍 "React Native is slow" is wrong.

Legend List 1.0 beta is ready! It started as a performance experiment, but it ended up solving a lot of the major issues with lists in React Native. 🎉 ✨ Better perf than FlashList ✨ maintainContentVisiblePosition ✨ Bidirectional infinite lists ✨ Chat UI without inverting

I’m trying to make the best git / diff / PR review app for macOS. It’s already FAST AF 🔥 30MB, low memory usage, loads any repo instantly, full syntax highlighting. Using React Native macOS for the best performance. v1 coming soon! What would make this the best app for your?
