Texas DPS pulled over Jesús Bracho as he was arriving to work. When they stopped him, he told his 9-year-old daughter Katherine to go inside his boss’ house. DPS called ICE and took Jesús. ICE agents came back and then forced him to lure his daughter out so they could take her too. She was scared and didn’t know where she was going. Katherine is a student at Bonnie Ellison Elementary. Jesús is a hardworking mechanic and doesn’t have a criminal record. They’ve been locked up at the Dilley Trailer Prison for over a month. Governor Abbott has ordered DPS troopers to help ICE arrest hardworking folks and children in our community. I am calling on ICE to immediately release Jesús and Katherine and stop fueling Trump and Abbott’s mass deportation machine. #FreeOurChildren #ShutDownDilley

ICE locked away Gabriel Johnson, a father and husband who had been living in the United States legally since he was 15 years old. While detained, ICE denied him his medication. Gabriel has since had a stroke. Half of his body is now paralyzed. ICE refuses to let him speak to his family out of fear he might tell them the Texas hospital room he is languishing in. His daughter is demanding he come home, saying, “This is not love, this is not care, this is not America.” I am asking ICE to release Gabriel immediately to reunite with his family and get the medical care he needs.
