Arriving in Lomé, I witnessed firsthand the frustration African travellers still face navigating intra-African travel restrictions and visa-on-arrival processes. In my opening remarks, I spoke candidly about this challenge… if Africa wants to trade more, attract investment, and strengthen regional value chains, Africans must be able to move more freely across Africa. H.E. President Faure Essozimna GNASSINGBÉ responded with decisive leadership. Today, Togo has announced the removal of visa requirements for all African citizens🌍 This is A BIG WIN for regional integration and a strong signal of the Africa we are building, one that is more connected, more competitive, and more open for business.
