Not a promo line I’ve heard before tbh

Goldberg dumps Meng and Jimmy Hart on their domes in a matter of seconds

30+ years later and I still remember this goofy finish where Skip’s legs got stuck up in the air

Always loved this sequence, just a crazy visual

Johnny the Bill hits a beautiful standing springboard legdrop to the floor (and also tore his urethra and ruptured his bladder, OUCH)

Scott Steiner tries a moonsault slam, lands right on his head, pops up, and hits a better version of the move

I saw this Kevin Nash powerbomb from Halloween Havoc ‘98 and it looked so much like his special from Revenge I wondered for a second if that’s what they based it on, but the game came out the day after this so I guess that’s how Big Kev was handling business in 1998

WCW YouTube uploaded the Clash where Brian Pillman made Bobby Heenan swear on live TV and didn’t bleep it. So if you want to hear the Brain drop an F bomb here you go

WCW YouTube uploaded the (in)famous Bischoff/Russo reset Nitro, really a must see. Feels like an early John Waters film at times and not just because of what Hogan threatens Bischoff with.

This is edited like the Radioactive Man movie after Milhouse quit

People are going nuts over the AJ/Dragon Lee finish last night but AJ was doing stuff like this 20+ years ago in the Murphy Rec Center

Gorilla’s indignant “WHAT!!?” still makes me laugh to this day

Credit to Jimmy Hart, a few months after Goldberg dumped him on his head he’s right back at it. Thankfully it’s an easier (but not exactly soft) landing.

Don’t get commentary like this nowadays

Abdullah the Butcher gets electrocuted at Halloween Havoc. Bad job by Cactus Jack manning the switch! I do like the fireworks shooting out, I hope they’re standard on all electric chairs

Terry Crews appears on Nitro as Battledome invades WCW

Takeshi Morishima hits a top rope dropkick on Jaime Noble for the win in a tryout match. You’ll never guess his ring music! (OK you probably will…)

Probably the call of Jim Ross’ life. THEY JUST PUT THE FLAG ON THE COWBOY

Profoundly crappy main event ending for Super Brawl VII as Roddy Piper clearly puts Hulk Hogan to sleep but Randy Savage pulls Hogan under the ropes afterwards so the ref restarts the match and Hogan wins with brass knuckles. 30 bucks please!

Oh yes the infamous Reviving Elbow. The Butcher knocks out Hogan with the sleeper and Randy Savage drops an elbow on his partner to wake him up. There is a logic to this, Hogan always Hulked Up after prior elbows, so why not one where Savage is a friend instead of a foe?

Amazing sequence sees Rip Rogers trying to get the drop on Vader but ends up getting blasted by Vader’s helmet instead

The classic 19.999 kickout

WCW YouTube uploaded the THAT’S THE WALL BROTHER Nitro. I do think wrestling has lost the ability to be dumb in an amusing manner. When wrestling is dumb these days it’s just frustrating, whereas remembers Hogan yelling HEY WALL is life affirming in its own way.

WCW YouTube uploaded a 2+ hour (!) comp of the Warrior in WCW. This includes the infamous mirror bit, where the Warrior appears in a mirror and Hogan (and the announcers and the audience) can see him but Bischoff cannot. Is Hogan (and the audience) losing it, or is Bischoff?

It’s Saturday at 6:05. You’re settled in for 2 hours of WCW action. You’re relieved the Braves played earlier in the day. You ponder why the wrestler Terminator factory blows up.

Amazing ending to Nitro: Buff acting like an idiot and paying for it, Sting unmasking as Sting, Hogan selling like Curly from the Three Stooges, garbage flying

Hard to imagine anyone being this cool ever again

Me: Ah, time to watch the time honored All Japan Tag League with its rich history of incredible wrestling The match:

Weird promo from Kendal Grey as she cuts off PJ Vasa mid-promo, which I usually applaud, but it was in the middle of Vasa complimenting her. Then Grey says people think she looks like she should be a barista at Starbucks (???)

Goldberg challenges Kevin Nash to a match for Scott Hall’s contract, and then eats said contract (??)
