I keep thinking about this garden hose. This is what I found at my house when I was able to check on it, mid-fire. Fully extended, by the fence. A neighbor or firefighter used it to fight the fire on the edge of my property. Whoever it was helped save our house. 🙏🏻 #PalisadesFire

Getting set up at LAFD 🔥 Station 69 for President Donald J. Trump Donald J. Trump’s visit to #PalisadesFire later today. In many ways, this is an ideal location to visit, because the entire neighborhood behind the station (“Alphabet Streets”) burned to the ground. And there was no water to save it.

The Lake Shrine Self-Realization Fellowship meditation and walk enter survived virtually unscathed, except for the public bathroom. It helped to have a giant lake with a water pump and a barge that sprayed water on the trees. Still serene and beautiful. As before. #PalisadesFire

If this is true — and I think it is — Trump’s war in Iran will be remembered not just as a victory, but also a heroic one.

Watch South Africa’s Ambassador Embrahim Rasool claim that President Donald Trump (and, later, Elon Musk) are leading a global white supremacist movement. Partial video and transcript below (more at the link): “I think what Donald Trump is launching is an assault on incumbency, those who are in power, by mobilizing a supremacism against the incumbency, at home, and -- I think I've illustrated -- abroad as well. “So in terms of that, the supremacist assault on incumbency, we see it in the domestic politics of the USA, the MAGA movement, the Make America Great Again movement, as a response not simply to a supremacist instinct, but to very clear data that shows great demographic shifts in the USA in which the voting electorate in the USA is projected to become 48% white. And that the possibility of a majority of minorities is looming on the horizon. “And so that needs to be factored in, so that we understand some of the things that we think are instinctive, nativist, racist things, I think that there's data that, for example, would support that, that would go to this wall being built, the deportation movement, et cetera et cetera. So I think I'd mention that.”

It was amazing to watch ⁦Richard Grenell⁩ work today in Pacific Palisades, listening to L.A. residents and pushing federal/state/local agencies to work harder, better, and faster together. Having presidential leadership on the ground makes a huge difference. #PalisadesFire

The comically bad rental car situation at LAX. ⁦Hertz⁩ has a Gold option downstairs that lets you skip some of this madness. But the travel agent misspelled my name so that’s not an option (really! You can’t fix a misspelling in their system in 2026). 2028 Olympics? LOL 😂

Johannesburg’s City Council rejected a motion to rescind the renaming of Sandton Drive for Palestinian terrorist Leila Khaled (to force the U.S. Consulate there to use her name on its letterhead). Helpfully, the renaming would create another savings for DOGE: close the consulate.

To my fellow Jewish voters: it’s OK to vote for Trump. The argument, if you have to have one, is simple: four years of peace.

South Africa’s presidential spox accuses me of “damaging behavior,” without specifying. (I’ve criticized SA’s obsession with race and hatred of Israel.) On the plus side, the president will stop Johannesburg from renaming the U.S. consulate’s street after a Palestinian terrorist.

The Palisades Bluffs, one of the most spectacular walkways in Pacific Palisades, with storybook dream homes and amazing, romantic views over the Pacific coast. Saw many sunsets, bioluminescent waves, dolphins, and even a comet from here. Destroyed in the #PalisadesFire. For now.
