Vanderbilt doesn’t have a Right Tackle or a Left Tackle. They have a "Quick Tackle" and a "Strong Tackle." While some called this "innovative" on national TV earlier this season, offensive line veterans know the truth: this is a classic philosophy making a massive comeback. In this breakdown, we look at how Vandy O-Line coach Chris Klenakis and OC Tim Beck ignored the modern "tempo" trends to return to a system that prioritizes specialized skill sets over stationary positions. The results in 2025 speak for themselves: Joe Moore Award Semi-Finalists. One of the best units in the country. From the history of the "Strong/Weak" side to the Heisman-level protection Vandy is providing in 2025, we’re diving deep into the trenches in Nashville to celebrate these guys. You’ve seen one-hand snaps your whole life, but Ferris St. Football center snaps with TWO hands on purpose. The logic is simple: consistency > looking cool. Three reasons it works: accuracy, weather/injury control, and a cleaner operation time. How would you feel if your favorite program ran out on Saturday doing this? Oh, what it must have been like to be in that dusty Iowa gym that day… In 2017, Tyler Linderbaum pinned Tristan Wirfs in a sudden victory overtime period at the Iowa High School State Wrestling Tournament. Today, their combined NFL contracts total $221.6 million. Wrestling is still one of the most underrated development tool for offensive linemen. Mike Golic Jr #offensiveline #nfl #wrestling #football

They call him "Big Cisco," but "big" doesn't even begin to cover it. Standing 6'6" and weighing in at 335 lbs, Francis Mauigoa is a physical anomaly. According to Mario Cristobal, he is the most muscularly dense player to ever measure in during his tenure at Miami. But in the NFL, size is just the entry fee. Can he play? The numbers say yes. Mauigoa has allowed only 2 sacks over the last 2 seasons, a stat that earned him the prestigious Jacobs Blocking Trophy. We’re talking about elite, rare-air territory for an offensive lineman. The mock draft folks got him going top five to the Giants. However, the million-dollar question remains: is he just a dominant college force, or is he a legit Top 5 NFL Draft pick? We got to go to the All-22 for our answer. Miami Hurricanes Football Francis. Mauigoa #NFLDraft #OffensiveLine #FilmStudy #MiamiFootball #FrancisMauigoa

People are calling Vega Ioane the best guard prospect since Quenton Nelson. More explosive than Tyler Booker. More complete than Tyler Smith. Right there with Chris Lindstrom. And it’s not just hype: 808 pass-block snaps over the last 2 seasons… 0 sacks allowed. Plus, 68% of Penn State’s rushing yards went to his side. So is he actually that good? Let’s roll the film. Oregon is the only college football team in the country to be a finalist for the Joe Moore Award in each of the last three seasons. Oregon’s O-line dominance has a name most fans still don’t talk about: A’Lique Terry… When Cristobal left, everybody assumed the Ducks would take a step back up front. Instead, they found a guy who checks every box as a coach. A'lique Terry Oregon Football #GoDucks #OregonFootball #BigTen #CollegeFootball #OffensiveLine
