Logan Jones (299 lbs) just ran a 4.90… and the math is terrifying. Using kinetic energy (½mv²), this Iowa OL is carrying about 5,261 joules. Got to call it out when one of the best isn’t on a sideline. Sam Pittman coached 7 first-round offensive linemen. His units led the SEC in sacks allowed per game in 2013 and 2014. His 2019 Arkansas line led the SEC in rushing. He went 19-18 in his first three seasons as head coach after the Hogs went 8-28 the three years before him. Howard Mudd’s definition of toughness is excellent: it’s not how much you can dish out — it’s how much you can take and still execute the next snap. That’s the part most people skip.
