![Bradley Beal on wearing No. 3: “It’s no disrespect to Chris. Chris and I are amazing friends… I asked the team if 3 is available, they talked about it, [Lawrence Frank] talked about it. They came back and said we’ll do it.”](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2104655783862714577/amplify_video_thumb/2104655683799154689/img/jCDaUe0PRs5kyjOG.jpg)
Yuki Kawamura is excited to be around Darius Garland and Keaton Wagler, and also play against Steph Curry in Hawaii: “I’m learning from great point guards right now. I’m figuring out how I can help the team… it’s gonna be great for me.” On playing Curry and the Warriors: “He’s a superstar. I’m super excited to play against him. I have to prove myself during the preseason to get the contract. But I don’t want to focus on it. I just want to play the right way every single possession for the team.”

Rui Hachimura isn’t surprised by what he showed offensively today. “This is what I do. It’s not new. You guys have been seeing it. But with a new team, Ty and the coaching staff they’ve been communicating, I’ve been communicating with them, how much they want me to be aggressive. Especially on the offensive side… We talk about the things I like, the things I don’t like. They’ve been good with that. They’re making the right calls. That’s why I got easy shots.”

Darius Garland is excited to face Steph Curry in the Play-In Tournament: “It’s pretty cool going against a top-75 guy like that. A first ballot Hall of Famer. It will be cool just to compete with a guy like that. The skill and the ability that he has, that affected me and the way that I play. It’s super cool to see that on the other end. It’s gonna be fun. Any time you play against top-75 guy like that or a first ballot Hall of Famer or someone that you’re inspired by or looked up to and watched when you’re growing up, it’s always super cool to go against him and go at him a little bit. I’m super excited about that, but my main goal is trying to win the game so that’s all that matters to me.”

Ty Lue on Chris Paul: “I just think it wasn’t a good fit for what he was looking for. It is what it is. Do I want to see CP go out like this? No. I have a lot of respect for him. He’s been a friend of mine over the years. You never wanna see a great go out like this. But I’m pretty sure he will find something, because he’s a great player. He’s a — you know. I didn’t wanna see it end like this.”

Kris Dunn says Keaton Wagler has stood out the most in Clippers training camp. “Me and Keaton built a relationship off being genuine… One thing I learned about Keaton is he processes things very fast. He’s got a very high IQ. He’s been playing really well… He’s been shooting the ball really well, he’s really good in the pick and roll. He’s able to get his teammates involved. And then defensively he’s been holding his own. He made a lot of great plays yesterday and I’ve seen him make great plays in pickup. I understand why they chose Keaton Wagler.”

Steve Ballmer was asked why Aspiration would pay Kawhi Leonard $7 million per year to do nothing. Ballmer: “I don’t know why they did what they did. And I don’t know how different it is… Any speculation would be crazy. These were guys who committed fraud. How would I be able to — look, they conned me… At this stage, I have no ability to predict why they might have done anything they did. Let alone the specific contract with Kawhi.” 🎥: ESPN

To me, this was always one of the more revealing public moments of the Kawhi Leonard, Clippers investigation. This was Lawrence Frank’s answer when asked if Uncle Dennis had ever asked for any benefits that weren’t allowed. A year later, Uncle Dennis is banned after the NBA specifically says he pressured the Clippers to violate circumvention rules.

Max Strus on Darius Garland being in a situation where he is maybe the Clippers leader: “No maybes about it. That’s for sure. There is gonna be a lot riding on DG’s shoulders but we’re all here to support him and push him through that. He’s capable of it. He’s a hell of basketball player… I’m excited to see him fully healthy and get us a full look at DG this season.” Said he has the ability to control the whole room with his leadership and energy.

Kawhi Leonard on being stuck at 29 minutes after saying he wanted his minutes increased: “It doesn’t matter about that. They’re missing their star players and we can’t get a win…” On the Clippers losing leads when he sits: “Like I said, it’s not about that... If we’re trying to win a championship we need everybody. It’s not about the minutes played or any of that. We’re up in these games, we should be able to close it out.”

Kawhi Leonard on being the last player left from the trio of himself, Paul George, and James Harden: “It’s the NBA. We know why these guys left. I wish them the best of luck. Tried to help him stay, but business calls.” Said he wanted to give it another run with that group, but it didn’t happen that way. “It’s over. Guys are gone.”
