HUR's Major General Vadym Skibitskyi said Russia combat tested a new guided bomb w/ ≤200km range in September-October and is now moving to mass production. He indicated it's been used in Dnipro & other cities in recent weeks. He said the bombs have "new control modules” and increased range & EW resistance. If I understand correctly, he indicated that while open sources have assumed the Grom-1 was used in those recent strikes, the new bomb is actually an improved version of the UMPK.

A Russian Telegram channel affiliated with the 81st and 381st artillery regiments said Ukraine is relying less on artillery for counter-battery and more on FPV drones and Baba Yaga multirotor bomber drones. With Baba Yaga, it says Ukraine will send two in succession to attack an artillery piece (or UAS control post or air defense system) while using artillery to suppress the air observation post protecting the target. (In the video, you can hear what're reported to be cluster munitions landing near an artillery firing position as a soldier at the air observation post fires at the Baba Yagas.) The channel says one way to counter this tactic is to move the air observation post 300-500 meters from the protected object. The channel also stresses that air observation posts need thermal imager sights in addition to machine guns, but the troops tend to have to source the former via volunteers.
