I’m a registered Independent—no party, no labels. Right down the middle. Call it purple if you want. To me, it’s simple: what’s right is right, and what’s wrong is wrong. I’m retired. I live a simple life. I don’t have to do this. But I love this city—and I gave nearly 32 years to it. So what’s another 8 if it means helping course-correct? Maybe this is a Hail Mary. Times have definitely changed and if this was today under this Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani the cop hating New York City Council my stance on this issue would not be the same as depicted in this video. Policing is dangerous and ugly at times, but when our mayor at the time Eric Adams had the NYPD NEWS NYC PBA backs we could be proactive but not anymore. We were effective in 2022 through 2025 but the landscape has changed. The defund the police crowd have infiltrated city hall. Be careful , handle what is front of you and make it home every night.
