The Kevin Eastman cameo in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem means the most to me out of all the Eastman and Laird Easter Eggs in the franchise. Kevin being the first stranger to help the mutants is the perfect level of detail. I love being a TMNT fan.

Since we're glorifying 2016, remember when the Ninja Turtles peacefully gave themselves up and NYPD was still ready to kill them because they didn't have "the right look?" And they only escaped because their white friends took action and jumped in front of them? Good times...

I'll always love the 90s Turtles but they are HELLA FRAUDULENT in Secret of the Ooze. We're talking 1987 Turtle levels of plot armor. You're telling me their Shredder can survive being pushed through a TRASH COMPACTOR but can't survive a few pounds of lumber falling on him?

Hands down 2003 Casey He's the only variant this Millenia with an arc, agency, not infantilized by the plot bc he's only human, and doesn't have his characterization ruined by a domestic abuser. Tldr he's treated like a MC not an afterthought.

Rise Splinter still isn't my favorite character, but thematically, his message is the most pertinent.

It amazes me how fans praise 2012's "Trans-Dimensional Turtles" & "Wanted: Bebop and Rocksteady" as the superior 1987 crossovers when this entire exchange of dialog is clearly more disrespectful to the 87 Turtles legacy than anything the 2003 Turtles said in Turtles Forever...

We really got front row tickets to the downfall of Dan Schneider and P. Diddy in the span of a week

We don't talk enough about the character development between Master Splinter & Casey Jones in the 2003 series. Casey went from "my son's dumbass friend" in Splinter's eyes to one of his own. Casey gets a do over at having a father figure. The character writing is peak!
