Exactly 26 years ago today, the Israeli army withdrew from South Lebanon. And along with them, because of threats from Hezbollah, we the families of the South Lebanon Army came to Israel. בדיוק היום לפני 26 שנה, צה״ל נסוג מדרום לבנון. ואיתם, בגלל איומים מצד חיזבאללה, הגענו משפחות צד״ל לארץ. 26 years later, we, the children of the SLA, continue the path of our parents with hope for peace. A message of solidarity from Lebanese 🇱🇧 singer Carine Bassili to Israel 🇮🇱 and the Jewish people, singing “October Rain” in Arabic. Worth listening and sharing This is the first time a song in Arabic has been dedicated to Israel as a gift of solidarity. Bassili decided to translate the song into Arabic following the October 7th massacre against Israel, honoring the 1,200 Israelis who were slaughtered by Hamas and the 101 Israeli children, women, men, and elderly still in captivity in Gaza by Hamas. את הכתבה הזאת אתם חייבים לראות! אני לא צוחק או עובד על אף אחד כשאני אומר שיש שינויים בשיח בלבנון על ישראל ועכשיו זה מגיע גם לתיקון היסטורי של המצב שהתקבע לאורך שנים, מצב המלחמה בין לבנון לישראל. בלבנון כבר לא מקבלים את המצב כמו שהוא, התחיל עידן השאלות הקשות שאיתם גם מגיעים תשובות חד משמעיות. במהדורה אתמול בלבנון בערוץ החדשות המוביל MTV עשו כתבה בכותרת: ״מה אנחנו לא יודעים היסטורית על היחסים בין לבנון לישראל? בין מצב מלחמה תמידי לבין המצב בשטח שמסבך יותר את הדברים, היסטוריית היחסים בין לבנון לישראל חושפת מצב אחר לגמרי ממה שהוצג״ בהרצאות שלי אני אומר לא פעם כי הייתה מלחמה אחת באמת בין לבנון לישראל וזה היה ב1948. רבים מרימים גבה עד שמסתכלים היסטורית באמת על המצב בשטח.

The Jewish community stood by every oppressed community in the world for decades, they were the only one that stood by the lebanese people while we were slaughtered by Palestinian terrorists in the 70’s.
