I was driving home from seeing a movie with my kids while using FSD. Suddenly encountered a cop car with its lights flashing - the car was blocking off the road. FSD came to a stop and then tried to creep around the car while the cop was grabbing a gun out of his trunk. 🤯 I had to disengage to avoid pissing him off. I rolled down my window and asked politely if I could go through there. He said, “No, you gotta pop a U-turn.” That’s when I saw 3 police hiding behind bushes and waiting next to someone’s front door. A man came running into the yard where two cops peacefully detained him. Not sure if that man was the main threat, but I was off the scene from there. How should FSD handle these situations when a driver isn’t in the driver’s seat? Is it appropriate to drive through a crime scene when a cop shouts to you to not go through there?

Please be careful and never let your guard down while using Tesla’s FSD. The terms are very clear when you turn it on: “FSD requires a fully attentive driver who is ready to take immediate action at all times.” You absolutely need to pay attention!! Even the latest version 12.3.6, which is very good, can be very dangerous. I was testing in Chicago on Lower Wacker Dr two weeks ago and FSD almost killed me. It was going to drive straight into a barrier at 22mph. It could have caused a serious accident. This happened not just once, but twice. Second time going 27mph. Since I haven’t been able to get any replies or feedback from the Autopilot team whenever I submit data like this, I’m tagging all of the relevant people. This is in hopes to raise awareness so that this can be fixed and accidents prevented in the future. 🙏 Tesla AI Tesla Ashok Elluswamy Elon Musk Full video here:

Chris Dirty Tesla showed an example of FSD V12 not responding to a ball being thrown in front of it. However, he didn’t test with FSD v12.6.4 and he admitted that in the comments. This version is very different than 12.3.6 and other previous versions. It’s more of a “v13 lite” than anything else. Those who have it know that it’ll stop for squirrels crossing the road. Here are some tests I did with a similar ball using FSD v12.6.4.

My trip in India is so great. And the food!! ❤️❤️❤️ Pani Puri is my favorite by far. I also love the Dosa and Aloo Bhaji w/ Puri. The Idli is good, and I also liked the Uttapam. Another favorite, especially from Goa, was the Dal Makhani. I also tried Pav Bhaji. I thought the fresh lime soda with sugar and a little salt was good, too. One more day in Pune, then I’m off to Mumbai (Bombay).

FSD slams on the brakes for a cat in the road that doesn’t even exist. This is FSD 12.6.4 on HW3, which is a lot more sensitive to shadows & objects in the road with the 2026.8.6 update. There are many reports of brake stabbing. It brings me back to the days when I was testing with v10.3 of FSD back in 2021. It’s interesting that it’s the same FSD version as before, and not something like 12.6.4.1, but I guess Tesla can change the weights without changing the version. And they’ve likely been doing this for a while with 12.6.4. 😒

Congratulations to the Tesla team for accomplishing the impossible with HW3. 👏👏👏 FSD 12.6.4 is fucking incredible. I’d put this version up against v13.2.8 any day of the week. Watch how it shoots the gap in a complex roundabout during rush hour traffic. Unbelievable. And the turn signal behavior is correct. Such an amazing thing to witness when you’re behind the wheel. I was totally WRONG about HW3. 😔 Sorry guys. 🙏 HW3 won’t be getting v13. The writing has been on the wall for HW3’s future since September 2024. But this delay with v12.6 is different. Something else is going on. And I think I know EXACTLY what’s happening. 👇👇👇 TL;DR - Tesla finally convinced Elon that they need to abandon HW3. They are working on a game plan and an official announcement while working on the last & final version of FSD for HW3.

This is a HW3 Intel 2019 Model 3. It f***ing parks itself in parking lots. Not staged. Happens a lot. People really just don’t realize how good Tesla’s FSD 12.6.4 is. It’s not like v14, of course, but I’d say it successfully parks itself 40% of the time. 🤯❤️ Ashok Elluswamy Elon Musk Arek Sredzki @YunTaTsai1 Kalena Brown Tesla Tesla AI Tesla_na
