This is the full video. Karina Chikitova had reportedly followed her father, who left to visit relatives in a neighboring village, but became lost in the dense forest surrounding her home. Miraculously, Karina was found alive by her uncle, who had joined the search effort. She was discovered approximately five miles from her home, deep in the Siberian wilderness. Remarkably, Karina had survived by drinking water from a nearby river and eating berries and mushrooms she found in the forest. When Karina was found, she was severely weakened and covered in insect bites, but otherwise uninjured. Her survival against the odds captured the world's attention and earned her the nickname "Mowgli girl," a reference to the character from Rudyard Kipling's "The Jungle Book."
