April 2020 to April 2026 This is land that we bought 8 yr ago, the hedges were in an awful state, so we reshaped the hedge bank, coppiced off the few stocks that were growing, then planted a mix of hawthorn, hazel, blackthorn & holly, plus oak & hornbeam trees. Reet grand eh 😊

Natural fly control from our summer visitors. We’ve had more swallow nests in the buildings than I have ever seen at Strickley, 9 nests, all had 2 broods fledge with some managing a third. There’s no shortage of food for them on an organic dairy farm. I love seeing them fly 💚

It’s been a while… Here’s what we’re up to at the moment. Replacing a section of old stone drainage, the top end is still functioning perfectly, and it’s probably 200+ years old. Oh, and the sun is shining and there’s a whiff of spring in the air 😊 Happy days
