Univision Chicago spoke to the girl's aunt, who explained that the teenage girl Evelyn (who is 18 not 15--more on that below) and her boyfriend Jonathan--both US citizens--were protesting/ monitoring ICE in Hoffman Estates with others. CBS Chicago spoke to Evelyn's parents who said the same. Hoffman Estates police confirmed ICE was there. There is video footage before this incident showing ICE staging at the Hoffman Estates police station and after, showing Evelyn and Jonathan in what looks like the same ICE blue Ford Expedition while family and friends talk to them. Both have been released without charge, the aunt and parents all said.

NEW: Activists trolled LI Dem Rep Tom Suozzi last night at an event in his district, bringing him a diaper and knee pads as a criticism of Suozzi's vote to increased funding for ICE last week. Suozzi, one of seven House Dems to vote for the DHS spending bill, said after federal agents killed Alex Pretti days later, that he regretted his vote. The activists are from Climate Defiance--the same group that dressed as Nazis at the New York Young Republicans gala last month, leading to the viral slapping incident.
