Florida's SB 1722 - the App Store Accountability Act - was heard yesterday in the Senate Commerce & Tourism Committee. This is the de facto Digital ID policy masquerading as a way to "protect children and empower parents" that is making it's way around the country and even at a federal level. It is a bad policy that will impact EVERYONE, not just kids. These age verification policies will not stop at the App Store - they will creep into every aspect of our lives. This was the longest I've ever been able to speak to a legislative committee. I appreciated the opportunity to give them more information. I believe many had concerns, but the Political Industrial Complex does not allow for slowing things down and making informed, responsible decisions that will forever change our lives. They committee voted unanimously to pass the bill out of committee. Also want to give a shoutout to .Justin Hill for his kind remarks in his testimony that follows mine in this video.
