Today I had my first awkward and even dangerous moment with my Tesla FSD. Getting onto the freeway on the 56 here in San Diego in the morning — they have metered lights across two lanes that alternate green and red (no yellow). The lane that we were in was green and then turned red and FSD decided to do a full stop from 60 mph within ~30ft. The jolt was not insignificant. It’s obvious what happened. The car assumed this was a normal stoplight, and when it didn’t turn yellow, it immediately decided to slam all the brakes. My experience thus far has been nothing short of amazing. I still conclude that FSD is the greatest real world innovation since the iPhone. I hope they can learn from this. Cc/Elon Musk
