Apple just filed a patent hinting that Personas in visionOS might soon react to the virtual environment they are in. Rain falls and your Persona gets wet. Lighting shifts and your look changes. Wind blows and your hair moves. Shout out to Patently Apple for uncovering it.

remember guys, Apple doesn’t innovate. your Vision Pro connecting to your MacBook with a glance? yawn, boring. seamlessly controlling both with one trackpad? quite unremarkable. oh, and spatially-anchored windows on a plane moving 500 mph? very mid. nothing to see here 😏

New in visionOS 26.4: Vision Pro now supports NVIDIA CloudXR with foveated streaming. This lets high resolution immersive content stream from powerful NVIDIA GPUs with low latency by rendering detail only where you’re looking. If you know, you know. This is really great news.

Somewhere above the clouds on Vision Pro… I’m working on my Mac Virtual Display while simultaneously inside an 8K 360 video. The fact that this is possible on a plane is wild.

I love this new battery dock for Apple Vision Pro. It's a game changer if you use Mac Virtual Display. It gives the battery a dedicated home, makes it really easy to connect to power, and lets me jump between work and other visionOS experiences. Link below.

Here’s a first look at X-Plane 12 on Apple Vision Pro! With visionOS 26.4 and NVIDIA CloudXR 6.0, the simulator streams wirelessly at up to 4K/120fps to your headset. And if you have a physical yoke or throttle, ARKit uses image detection to recognize them and place them inside your virtual cockpit. 🤯 It’ll be available later this spring.

Tripo3D just launched some great new animation features. Text to Motion turns a written prompt into a 1 to 10 second character animation. Multi stage Motion lets you combine up to five motion segments into a longer sequence. There’s also improved character rigging with hand bone support and skeleton presets for Unreal Engine, Unity, Mixamo, VRM, and ActorCore.

Reporter: Some are concerned NVIDIA’s DLSS 5 will make games look worse or homogeneous. In our Q&A today, Jensen Huang responded: “They’re completely wrong… you can fine tune the generative AI to your artistic style… if you want cartoon, toon shader, made of glass… it’s up to you. It’s not post processing at the frame level. It’s generative control at the geometry level. This is very different than generative AI. It’s content control generative AI.”

People are underestimating Apple in AI. I just ran Apple’s new SHARP model locally and watched my photos turn into 3D Gaussian splats in seconds, then stepped inside them on Vision Pro. This feels like the beginning of something special. You really have to try it.

I’m pretty excited for our 2026 Tesla Model Y to arrive. Getting our home charger ready to install. For those who’ve done it, what did you pay for installation? I already have a 50 amp breaker in place.
