🐾❤️ Update on Opie ❤️🐾 He came to us last week feeling really poorly, and we’ve been working closely with the vets to help him get better. For a few days, it felt like we were finally seeing little signs of hope — a bit more sparkle in his eyes, a few tail wags. But today… things changed. Opie didn’t want to get up. You could see how much he was struggling, so I gently helped him into the van and took him straight back to the vets. We don’t know what’s going on yet, but we’re hoping for the best for this sweet boy. 💔 Opie Update 💔 I’ve just had that call from the vets… and it’s not good news. Truthfully, I don’t really know what to say. My heart just hurts for him. I’ve done a short video update because I couldn’t bring myself to write it all down. You’ll see in my face just how much this boy means to us. Opie’s been through so much, and we were really hoping the next stage would bring answers and a bit of hope — but instead, we’re facing some really difficult news. No matter what happens next, I promise you this — none of our dogs will ever pass alone. 💙 K9 Roam Is Home 🇺🇸🐾 I’ve just watched the video of K9 Roam making his journey home — escorted by his brothers and sisters in blue, surrounded by an outpouring of love from the community — and I’ll be honest, it brought tears to my eyes. Only days ago, Roam was fighting for his life after being gravely injured in the line of duty. Today, he’s heading home with his handler by his side — a warrior’s welcome for a truly brave soul. The sight of people lining the streets, waving flags, holding signs, and cheering him on is something words can barely capture. It’s proof of the bond that exists between our police dogs, their handlers, and the communities they protect. 💙 Roam’s courage, and the compassion shown by everyone involved — from the veterinary team who saved his life to every person who came out to show support — reminds us what true strength and love look like. Sending all my thoughts to Roam, his handler, and the Colorado Springs Police Department as they begin this next chapter together. I had to pull over on the way back from the vets today. Leaving Opie there for tests hit me harder than I thought… it brought back memories of Finn 😔 He’s a fighter — just like someone else I once had to leave behind those doors. 🖤🐾 Keep everything crossed for our boy. We’ll bring him home. ❤️
