This is hilarious. And embarrassing. Russian Foreign Affairs Minister Lavrov says "the war we are trying to stop was launched against us" and the Indian audience - supposedly sympathetic - audibly laughs. Russian "diplomats" think that the lies they use to feed Putin's fantasies [to get promoted] could be taken as anything but lies by anyone else.

Putin today: "The Western masters placed an ethnic Jew, a person with Jewish roots, at the head of Ukraine and this is how, in my opinion, they cover up the anti-human essence that is the foundation of the modern Ukrainian state." Putin forced me out of my country and put me on the federal wanted list in Russia, but I feel embarrassed for him. And I feel embarrassed that we Russians allowed such a scum to take power.

Putin is really sick. Opening his annual press conference today, he jokes that "we" (Russians) were bored when there in no war - "we" need to make it shake. Before the war, he jokes, it was stagnation (it actually was), that's why the war was started. Hundreds of thousands Ukrainians and Russians dead, whole cities ruined and abandoned, and he laughs about that. Over the last two years of World War II, Hitler did not make any public appearances. Indeed, even meetings outside a narrow circle were rare. But if Hitler did press conferences, I am pretty sure that this is what it would look like. A sociopath blissfully unaware of the death and destruction he has brought upon people.

A Russian soldier, dressed as Santa, waves the flag in Mirnograd in Eastern Ukraine. In the video, you can see that the small Ukrainian town is fully destroyed by the Russian army. No people left. It will be in ruins for years - as with other towns on occupied territories.

One of the best Russian figure skaters of the last decade, Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, performs to highlight the dangers of domestic abuse. In Russia, situation with abuse has deteriorated since the beginning of the war and repression, with the archaic state always on the side of patriarchy and abuse.
