Taliban’s Humiliation of Hazaras Continues ‼️ Another disturbing incident has emerged from Afghanistan, where a young member of the Hazara community was reportedly subjected to public humiliation in a bazaar. This is not an isolated concern. Recent reporting has documented allegations of discrimination, arbitrary abuse, torture and other violations affecting Hazaras under Taliban rule. A community should not have to live in fear simply because of its ethnicity or sect. A leaked video involving former Taliban spokesperson Maulvi Sohail Shaheen, during a video call with a well-known transgender personality from Pakistan, has raised serious questions. Child sexual exploitation must be investigated transparently and independently. Those who preach morality and impose strict religious codes on others must also be held accountable. No one should be above the law, especially when the protection of children is at stake.
