Azerbaijani pages with large audiences are once again circulating humiliating videos of Armenian soldiers captured during the 2020 war, accompanied by insults, threats, and calls for hatred against #Armenians. This is not an isolated or accidental phenomenon. It is a continuation of the same mindset carried by those who desecrated #Armenian churches in Nagorno-Karabakh, insulted Christian sacred sites, damaged images of Jesus Christ, and presented all of this as a display of “victory.” The spread of such content aims not only to humiliate Armenian prisoners, but also to keep anti-Armenian hatred alive within #Azerbaijani society. When such materials are shared by pages with large audiences, they become not merely propaganda posts, but a dangerous tool for shaping public consciousness. The humiliation of #Armenian prisoners, the desecration of Armenian churches, and the insult to Christian sacred symbols are all parts of the same chain. They show that the problem is not only on the battlefield, but also in the system of hatred that has been fed and encouraged for years by the #Azerbaijani authorities.

Islamic pressure in Turkey seems to know no bounds. At the #Armenian church and cultural center, Surp Vortvots Vorotman in #Istanbul, a salawat — an Islamic blessing upon the Prophet Muhammad — was recited. This raises a legitimate question: since when did such a practice become acceptable in the Armenian Apostolic Church? What is the point of reciting it before an Armenian cross, given that there are already more than enough mosques in #Turkey? It is becoming increasingly difficult to view this as an expression of interfaith tolerance. Rather, it appears to be a blatant erosion of Christian identity and an encroachment upon the sanctity of Armenian spiritual space. Surp Vortvots Vorotman is an #Armenian church and cultural center, where Armenian prayer and the Christian word should be heard — not an Islamic salawat.

Korean Blogger Shows #Artsakh Under Azerbaijani Occupation: Empty Cities, Tourist Restrictions, and Erasure of Centuries-Old Armenian Identity A South Korean travel blogger has published a rare video of his recent trip to Artsakh, providing one of the few internal perspectives on the region following its transition to #Azerbaijani control and the ethnic cleansing of the #Armenian population in 2023. Traveling through Shushi, Askeran, and Stepanakert, YoungMin Skies captured empty streets, destroyed sites, and what he described as a systemic attempt to erase #Armenian traces and redefine the identity of the occupied region. The trip to #Artsakh took place as part of an organized group; according to the blogger, obtaining individual permission proved virtually impossible. Tourists were not allowed to leave the minibus, and access to sites was strictly controlled, effectively shaping the narrative presented to them. The blogger also drew personal parallels between his family's history in North Korea and the Armenians deprived of access to their ancestral lands, noting a similar experience of loss and forced displacement from one's homeland. According to him, traveling through the practically deserted territory left an oppressive impression. Upon entering Stepanakert, the former capital, his initial emotions were: "Tragedy, sadness. Everywhere you look, there are empty houses." The blogger emphasized the scale of desolation and destruction in the city. Many Armenian sites have been destroyed, rebuilt, or repurposed. However, the iconic "We Are Our Mountains" monument, also known as "Tatik-Papik," remains untouched. In his view, this is a political decision: despite attempts to erase #Armenian heritage, the monument has been left as a controlled symbol, demonstrating that the authorities decide which elements of the past to preserve.

The Turkish state broadcaster TRT Haber has produced a report framing the renaming of a street in #Stepanakert after Enver Pasha as an act of “historical gratitude” by Azerbaijan. The report presents this move as a symbol of the “brotherhood” and historical ties between Turkey and Azerbaijan, noting that a street in Shushi had previously been named after Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. To understand the gravity of this act, one must recall who Enver Pasha was. As a high-ranking leader of the Ottoman Empire, he was one of the principal architects of the #Armenian Genocide. Between 1915 and 1917, the mass deportation and extermination of the Armenian people were carried out with his direct involvement. Under his leadership, approximately 1.5 million Armenians were killed, Armenian soldiers were disarmed and massacred, the death marches to the Syrian desert of Deir ez-Zor were organized, and countless Armenian towns and villages were systematically destroyed. In this context, such a naming is far more than a symbolic gesture. It carries a clear political and ideological purpose — to reshape historical memory and silence those who continue to speak about the Armenian identity of these lands. Renaming a street in #Stepanakert after one of the main organizers of the genocide is more than just a name change; it is perceived as a deliberate distortion of history, ignoring the deep pain and collective memory of the Armenian people. This step reflects yet another manifestation of a broader policy aimed at systematically erasing #Armenian cultural and historical presence, replacing it with a narrative that does not acknowledge past atrocities, but instead seeks to justify and glorify those responsible.
