In November 2019, Chelsea Klein was riding in a Lyft in New York when her driver apparently cut off another car. The other driver stopped, got out and leaned through the Lyft’s passenger window to confront them, even after the Lyft driver repeatedly apologized. Klein began recording because she was unsure how far the confrontation would escalate. Contemporary coverage identifies Klein as the person who filmed and uploaded the footage. When Klein pointed out that the woman was swearing in front of her children, the woman responded that they couldn’t hear her because “they’re listening to Kidz Bop.”

On August 15, 2023, Scottish comedian and actress Rachel Jackson entered a Delta Sky Club at Nashville International Airport despite not having access and reportedly became confrontational with staff. Airport police were called, and their bodycams captured Jackson repeatedly swearing at officers and refusing instructions as they tried to escort her from the area. The encounter became increasingly bizarre, with Jackson shouting things including “I am Titanic, I am White Lotus” before officers eventually handcuffed and arrested her.

On September 27, 2021, a woman at a McDonald’s in Cabot, Arkansas trashed part of the restaurant because her coffee was taking several minutes to brew. An employee explained that the machine literally had a timer. The woman responded by telling staff they needed to stop talking, work faster and “be a little more professional.” Then she started knocking things over. She slowly shoved stacks of trays onto the floor before knocking down the restaurant’s table-number signs as employees and customers watched. When the manager said she was calling the non-emergency police line, the woman returned with an explanation: She had diabetes and her blood sugar was low. Other customers began picking up the mess she had created while she stood nearby complaining that staff should have simply “shut up and worked.” Before police arrived, she left with the man she had been sitting with. The woman filming the incident stayed behind. When officers eventually arrived, she showed them the video.

Amy Cooper called 911 on birdwatcher Christian Cooper and falsely claimed a man was threatening her after he asked her to leash her dog in Central Park. The May 2020 confrontation was filmed by Christian and went viral, leading to Amy being fired by her employer. She was later charged with falsely reporting an incident, but the case was dismissed in February 2021 after she completed counseling sessions that included racial-bias education.
