Alison Ettel was caught on video crouching behind a car and pretending to call police on an eight-year-old girl named Jordan selling water bottles outside a baseball game. The video went immediately viral. Ettel was the CEO of a cannabis company. Within 48 hours of the video spreading she resigned as CEO. She later claimed she had not actually called police and was only pretending, which most people agreed made the optics significantly worse rather than better. She later apologised.
