I have written to the Finance Committees of the National Assembly and Senate recommending that mobile phone taxes be capped at Rs. 50,000. Mobile technology has advanced, and people now use phones for content creation and as a source of livelihood. We need to review this policy in consultation with all stakeholders, including local mobile phone manufacturers. #UnfairPTATax

Stories of children dying due to open manholes are heartbreaking and unacceptable but unfortunately they are common in many Pakistani cities. In Lahore, on Sept 18, a young girl lost her life after falling into an open manhole in a private housing society on Raiwind Road. On 8th March 2025, a similar tragedy occurred in Patoki. We must ensure every manhole is properly covered. No child should ever lose their life to such criminal negligence.
