Appalachia is not even close to okay. The devastation is worse than you think. Small businesses shuttered, homes destroyed, all during their busiest tourist season that they rely on to keep them solid through the quieter months. I will look for GoFundMe accounts for people in desperate situations to share to donate, and am looking into potentially creating fundraisers for those without one. If you have started a fundraiser for someone before and have advice there, please reach out to me.
